"566. RICHARD TILGHMAN, son of Matthew (565) and Anna (Lloyd) Tilghman, was b. Jan. 28, 1747, and d. May 28, 1805. He m. firstly Dec. 22, 1770, Margaret Tilghman, who was b. Dec. 24, 1744, and d. Dec. 24, 1779, the daughter of William and Margaret (Lloyd) Tilghman, see paragraph 491. Issue by first marriage: Eliza, b. Mar. 23, 1772, who m. George Hoffman, of Baltimore: Matthew, b. Aug. 8, 1773, Anna Maria Margaret, b. Aug. 20, 1774, William, b. Jan. 6, 1775, Martha, b. Sept. 20, 1777, and Mary Elizabeth, b. Nov. 22, 1779. Mr. Tilghman m. secondly Feb. 6, 1783 Mary Tilghman, who was b. Sept. 8, 1762, and d. Oct. 18, 1793, the daughter of Edward and Juliana (Carroll) Tilghman, see paragraph 526. Issue by second marriage: Luliana, b. Dec. 6, 1785, Anna Catherine, b. Apr. 26, 1787, who m. John Tilghman, the son of James and Elizabeth (Johns) Tilghman: and Mary Lloyd, b. Nov. 24, 1789, who m. Nov. 20, 1820, Charles Carroll Tilghman, the son of James and Elizabeth (Johns) Tilghman. In the Revolutionary War Major Tilghman commanded the 5th Battalion of the Queen Anne's County Militia."

"583. HENRIETTA MARIA LLOYD EVERETT, daughter of William and Henrietta (Tilghman-579) Everett, m. Charles Gordon Ricaud is now living in Baltimore. Issue: Letitia Tilghman Everett."
