I am Caroline Tilden, daughter of Cameron Tilden, son of Charles Yonge Tilden, son of George Burgess Tilden, son of Charles Newton Duncombe Tilden, son of Charles Goodrich Tilden, son of Stephen Tilden and Dorothy Goodrich (this Stephen is the man who brought our branch of Tildens to Canada), son of Joseph Tilden, son of Stephen Tilden, son of Stephen Tilden,son of Stephen Tilden, son of Nathaniel.
My late grandmother, Vera Willis Tilden, my late great-aunt Katherine Tilden, and a distant relative (also deceased), Colonel John Tilden, of Winter Haven (?), Florida, collaborated on the Tilden family history, which my late great-aunt then compiled. John Tilden also wrote a book with all this information, I have been told, although I don't know its name.
My father is in possesion of extensive information on the family history, including documents, photographs, old family Bibles, newspaper clippings and various anecdotes about numerous events that occurred in the family history, and is quite willing to share/exchange this information or answer any inquiries. To Wendy Quick and Scott Chafin: My father and I were wondering who your respective grandfathers and great-granfathers were. We are obviously all related not too far back, and it would be fascinating to see just how close the connection is!
