My family of Tighes came from Mayo to Canada in the late 1840s. James Tighe who was the father died at sea or died before they left Ireland. My Tighes were in Canada about ten years and then migrated to Michigan. I was wondering if your Alice was from their extended family and maybe joined them in Canada before moving to Wisconsin. The Moran family lived near the Tighes and Judges so I thought maybe Alice met Martin Moran in Canada but our Irish names do pop up in many places. It was a long shot but I thought that I would ask. I do not know much about the Tighes in Ireland but James Tighes wife was Mary McHale and she had a famous uncle, Archbishop John McHale and he was good about sending his kin out of Ireland if they needed new opportunities.
