I just talked to Hays Tigert (son of Jess Tigert) and he said that Vernon Tigert (Vern) died in Electra around 1929 or 1930 and is buried in the Electra cemetary. All records of that cemetary are lost. If there was no head stone, it may not be possible to locate his grave. We don't know hopw thw story got started that they went to CA, but it doesn't look like they got that far. The 1920 census should show both Jess (Jesse) and his brother Vernon in Wichita Co.
