I don't really have any more info on Thomas Tiffin than posted. I did find him in the 1810 and 1820 censuses of Pittsylvania Co., VA, but I haven't found more info. There's a Private Thomas Tiffin who received a government military pension in 1823 in Virginia, but I don't know if that's him. He'd be pretty old for those days--around 65.
