I believe that my family is also from County Mayo and the Balinrobe area. My Great Great Grandfather was Charles Tierney who was married to Catherine Welch or Walsh. Charles was born in 1823 and immigrated to the USA and settled in Minnesota. They had ten children, all born in the US so I assume that they left Ireland in the 1840s. Please share any info you may have.
