Immigration of Tierney 1840-1844
Need info of Tierney's who came to America in the 1840s from Ireland (Galway maybe?).Probably living in PA, VA.My gggrandmother Bridget was said to have arrived at the age of 7 (info from Missouri obit).
Her father's name on death cert said John and mother's name Margaret (Margaritte).Bridget spoke of the "Big Wind" to her children and grandchildren.
I know that there are many, many Bridget's out there. If I could just get some info of your families to get me started in the power of elimiation I might just find a link back to Ireland.
I know "Bridget" lore states her father here with her and also a sister possibly living in KY.Bridget married to a James Conners had 4 of her children in KY in the 1860s before migrating to IN, IL, MO, and finally dying at her son's house in Ellis County, TX.She was brought back to MO and buried in St. Martin's Catholic Church Cemetery where James was buried in 1897.
Thanks,
Dale
