In Reply to: Re: Tierney's of County Clare by David Michael Tierney of 1258

Michael was the first born of Timothy and Anne Mulqueeney Tierney, who wer married Sept 5, 1857 in Kilfenora. He was born in 1858 according to baptismal records at St. fachtman's church there.

Timothy, a weaver, died in 1871. Anne and the 3 youngest boys came to US in 1881. She died netweem 1900 and 1905 in Paterson, NJ. Son Peter Francis, born in 1865, became priest and served in Coffeyville, Kansas until his death in 1921. Patrick Joseph (PJ)born in 1867, was a butcher in Paterson. My father, James, born in 1869, died in 1943. Peter is buried in Coffeyville, the other 2 in Paterson.

Do you have any info on Michael or other brothers? Did they come to US first, and where did they live? We had relatives in Connecticut, but I don't recall their names.

Delighted to hear from you. I have been back to Clare several times. The old house still stand. Have met some of the clan.

I live in Auburn, California.

Helen Tierney Bale
