Michael John Tierney to New York 1888

I noticed in your msg so many same names and close dates. My great grandfather and grandmother were Michael John Tierney (1857?) and Mary Bowe (1857?). They came to the U.S. in 1888 & 89. Children: Catherine Mary, Patrick, May, Christina, Michael, James Francis (my grandfather), Madeline, Lawrence, William. They settled in Manhatten and the Bronx N.Y. James Francis graduated from Fordham U. with a degree in engineering. My father, James Francis, Jr. was born Quebec, Canada. I have lost track of family since then and do not know from where in Ireland Michael John and Mary came. Any clues in your family?
