Looking for a different Laurence Tierney!!
Laurence TIERNEY ( from Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland ) and his wife
(name unknown ) emigrated to America in 1800. Port of departure from Ireland unknown. Whilst at sea Laurence died and was buried at sea. On arrival in Philadelphia "Mrs Tierney" gave birth to their son (on 29September1800. He was named Laurence after his father. They returned to Cootehill in Ireland when Laurence was about six months old.
Mrs Tierney died 1801.
Laurence was then raised by an uncle.
Q: Where did they depart to USA from ?
Q: What was the name of the ship ?
Q: How does one get a copy of burial at sea record ?
Q: When and where ( which port ) did they arrive in USA ?
Q: Where can a copy of sons birth record be found ?
Q: What was mothers name ?
Q: When did mother and son leave USA ?
Q: On what ship did they return to Ireland ?
Any help you can give would be appreciated. The information given is supposed to be factually correct. However, my experience in research is that one takes the facts as only correct if YOU can prove it.

Love to hear from you.

Roslyn Teirney, Tas., Australia.
