It seems these Tierney's used a limited number of family names. The Tierney story I have has a Daniel, Michael, John and Matthew Tierney (possibly a Jeremiah) arriving in 1845 with their mother (don't know about father) They settled in Hastings Ontario but many of the sons moved to NY state, exactly where I don't know. Jeremiah may have moved to St. Catherines Ontario as a son Michael whose father's name was Jeremiah lived there 1870-1890's. and was living near Daniel and David McCarthy's whose mother was Catherine Tierney, the sister of the above boys. Where is Attic NY and do you know where in Limerick your Tierney's were from as this Tierney family was from there also. my email is musicman@csolve.net
