There are various spellings of the name such as Tinet (french) Tinney, Tenney, etc. If you are from La. perhaps we can talk. I'm at a brick wall myself. Areas are New Iberia, Houma, Avery Island, Abbeville, La. I do know LaFleurs of La.My ancestral name is Tinet but we were adopted by an Olivier uncle in 1840 and became Oliviers. Any connection??
