Now here is an outline of his obituary read
(I believe this was from the Boston Globe)Bishop Tierney although born in Ireland, was most Connecticut reared, his native place was in County Tipperary. At the age of 8 his arents came to Norwalk Connecticut......During the Day relatives of
Bishop Tierney were summoned, and among
those at his bedside were Deputy Judge
Jeremiah Tierney of Greenwich, and Attorney
William Tierney of New York, brothers. Miss Catherine Tierney of this city, and Mrs.
Margaret Bailey, sisters. Sister Dionysis,
superior of St. Francis asylum, a half
sister. James Fahey of New York, a half
brother. James Tierney a nephew, and two
nieces, Sister Bertrand of Mount St. Josephs
seminary, and Sister Bernadini of the
academy of the Holy Family of Baltic."
Found while searching for my Michael Tierney
who's family end up in London Ontario Canada
