Hi Kerrie, thanks for your response. Iam the Organiser and Chieftain of the O'Tierney Clans Society and have been doing research into Tierney genealogy for a number of years. I appear to be related to the Ballyscandland Tierneys, Sir Matthew and Sir Edward. I do have, what I think is a link to George 'the Whig'. Their father John and Thomas, as far as I can ascertain, were brothers and there is also a Roche connection, although I did not connect this to the Roches of Roches Stores. I have some more info. but it would be too long to include in a postbut if you wish to contact me direct I would be delighted to send it to you. I also have had correspondence with another user regarding the same connections and I will contact hin again to see if it would be ok for me to put you in touch with him - if you would wish that!!
