My great-grandfather was a Martin Tierney who emigrated to the US, went through Boston, MS, later married Elizabeth A. Doyle on Sept. 18, 1880 (listed himself as being from Boston, MS) at St. Jean Immaculate Conception Church and then settled in the St. John New Brunswick area as a farmer. Martin's birthday has been listed as October 15, 1855 on his tombstone at Calgary Cemetery. Martin's father was listed as Michael on his death certificate (November 9, 1925 in Thurston County, Washington.
I virtually have no idea who the rest of Martin/Michael's family were as I still do not have an idea of who Elizabeth Doyle's family was.
Not sure if this helps. Would be great if it did.
