Tierney's new York, Hi, My gg grandmother was Helen Rose Tierney Married to a Thomas John Stowell in Chicago Illinois is the late 1870's or so . We have no info about her other than she might have been from New York and that her family was wealthy . My gggrandfather met her when Helen's family was visiting Chicago and the carriage she was riding in was out of control and my gggrandfather rescued them. I was told her family was upset and may have disowned her because of marrying my gggrandfather because he was a policeman. they had one son Named Raymond j. (possibly John) Stowell while still in Chicago... if any of this seems to fit let me know.. I hope it does so far I can find no info on her at all. I believe she is buried in Chicago, and in 1923 when my gggrandfather went to visit in England it says he was a widower, because she did not come to calif. in the 1930's with the rest of the family
