I hope you are still looking for responses. I am descended from John and Rose Tierney through daughter Rose, who married Thomas Masterson in 1866. They had 2 children in Yorkshire and came to the USA by 1870 where they appear in the census for New Jersey.

I have recently received a copy of the marriage certificate for Thomas and Rose. It gives the names of the parents of the bride and groom as John in both cases.

Peter Tierney and Bridget Tierney are listed as witnesses. I believe they were both siblings of Rose.

I have the John Tierney family listing from the 1861 census and have followed the family through later censuses. I have also applied for copies of the the death certificates of John and Rose. He died in 1881 and she in 1869. She was hard to find in the index as she is indexed as "Rosey Tearney."

I would like very much to contact other descendants of that Tierney family.
