Well, I am close friends with a family of Tiemanns here in Taylor Tx. It would be the Loesch Tiemann line, for those who are studying that line.
They have an up coming family reunion and, I have volunteered to give them a hand with it.
I got my hands on a thick book that was put together by John Decker (1931, and I am not sure if he is still alive or not) , son of Minnie Tiemann-Decker (1904-1982)and John Decker (1900-1962).
I have been looking for theme ideas and so forth to use, and thought, how great it would be to do something that I did for one of my own family reunions. Using the color scheme of the family chrest, and somehow encorporating the crest itself.
Unfortunately, I am not too sure of what the crest looks like.
I found one which was blue and yellow (probably blue and gold though), at the hall of names, but, I am not sure if the site itself is a fraud, or if I can trust that it is the real one.
Anyone with an image of the Tiemann crest, and if you have it the Loesch crest, I would greatly appretiate an image of it.
You could send it to my email address at firstname.lastname@example.org
If anyone would like the information that I have aquired on this line of Tiemanns, I would be more then happy to supply it as well, it's fairly extensive as far as the history goes, but, it only goes back to 1822.... and does not explain exactly which part of Germany, they began. I will have to type it all out as it's a pretty faded hard copy.
