My grandfather, John Tiedemann, was born in NE in 1906. He moved to Milwaukee, WI shortly after he was born. I recently learned that my great-grandfather Tiedemann (I think his name was William) was a railroad man in Milwaukee and died in approximately 1917 when he fell into the Chicago River while he was working.

I'm wondering if perhaps my grandfather could be a cousin to William Jacob Tiedemann. Do you have any other information?
