Elizabeth Ann "Eliza" Tidler was born August 31, 1875 in Netawaka, Jackson County, Kansas, the daughter of John William Tidler and Harriet L. Allen. She married Roscoe Charles Baker April 26, 1899 in Chapman, Dickinson County, Kansas. They had eleven children:

Carl Raymond Baker (Jan. 7, 1900 - May 20, 1940)
Lester Franklin Baker (Jan. 19, 1901 - Unknown)
Vida Mae Baker (b. July 26, 1902)
Harriet Baker (b. 1904)
Ruth Marie Baker (b. 1906)
Maurice Frederick Baker (Apr. 4, 1908 - Mar. 29, 1988)
Paul R. Baker (b. 1910)
Thelda Faye "Tillie" Baker (Aug. 27, 1912 - Oct. 28, 2002)
Dwight Moody Baker (Sep. 21, 1913 - Apr. 16, 1968)
Roscoe Warren Baker (Oct. 14, 1915 - Sep. 14, 1922)
Bruce Nathaniel Baker (Jan. 27, 1920 - Nov. 7, 1991)

Eliza died April 2, 1956 in Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas.

Obituary, Topeka (Kansas) Daily Capital, Thursday April 3, 1956:
       "Mrs. Eliza A. Baker
       Mrs. Eliza A. Baker, 80, of 2426 Indiana, died Monday in a Topeka hospital. She was born August 13, 1875, at Netawaka and moved to Topeka 24 years ago. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church.
       She is survived by two daughters, Miss Ruth Baker of the home and Mrs. Marshall Becker, Topeka; four sons, Lester F. Baker of Tulsa, Okla., Maurice F. Baker of Junction City and Dwight M. and Bruce M. Baker, both of Topeka; and four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Fayette and Mrs. Will Dann, both of Topeka, Mrs. Belle Howard, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Dan Gillford, Los Angeles, Calif.
       Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Topeka Cemetery."
