Maybe in the ultimate scheme of things--the universe, life and death, etc.--it doesn't matter what we have down for the Tidd family or any other, but I am going to object again anyway to items being endlessly repeated that are not backed up with hard evidence.
Case in point, Barbara the wife of Samuel Greenfield. There is no evidence that she is a TIDD.I believe that this rumor started with the will of a London fishmonger who is a Tidd and who names several other TIDDs, including a Barbara. The ages do not work out nor the relationships.
There is no evidence that John Tidd and Agnes Dane had any children who emigrated to the colonies.
The John Tidd who was apprenticed to Samuel Greenfield was the son of Allen Tidd.He is not the same person who was a founder of Woburn in 1640.
I hope that we all live long enough for NEHGS's "The Great Migration" project to provide some hard facts on the TIDDs who arrived about 1637.Right now they are only up to the
letters A-H in 1635.
