Hi Mary,

Recently I contaced a Dowdy researcher who referred me back to whoever posted about the Ticer Family. I am a direct descendant of the Ticer family that you have mentioned in your notes. It goes from John Ticer b. 1785 (there is a gap here) William A Ticer b. 1830, Lafayette Ticer b.1870/1871, Albert Ticer b. 1901, Albert "Ike" Ticer b. 1926, Albert Ticer Sr. b. 1953. I am interested in anything that you might know or share as I am trying to fill in any info. I currently live in VA but will be moving to CA in June. I was hoping to use the genealogical library to help with the Ticer research.

I wanted to see if we could share any info as I am trying to establish a family tree of all the Ticer's. I want to make sure we chronicle our information before it is lost in notes, oral tradition, etc. I can be reached at
