I am very familiar with this family, being a descendant of one of the brothers. There was a William Harvey Tibbles (my Great Grandfather) and Thomas Henry Tibbles, who this thread is about. He was a character of the west and an Omaha newspaper editor who wrote Buckskin and Blanket Days. I have traced the Tibbles ancestry back to a 1660 immigrant to the eastern shore of Maryland. This branch came form MD to PA, and then Athens Co., OH in abt 1800 and 1817 resp. Both WHT and THT were born in Athens Co., in 1829 and 1838 resp. Why do you think you are connected to this family?
