Although my information states that William was killed in Barry Co., I suppose it is concievable that as a soldier he would have been buried in the National Cemetery. Springfield would have been quite a distance from Barry Co., at that time, making body transport more difficult. But I have record of William's in-laws from Carroll Co., AR enlisting in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, so I guess anythings possible. Thanks for the reply.
