An area of confusion...

There is on file with colonial records the will of Jeremiah Tibbetts, who died very near in time to the death of his father Henry.

In the will of JEREMIAH (this is where the confusion gets) the youngest son is sent to his uncle Mathew Austin - a silversmith in York ME. Jeremiah was married to Mary Austin.

It is believed that Elizabeth was called "Austin" because someone read the will and confused it with the will of Henry, which does not name his wife at all, so presumably she had already passed. Hope this helps.
