Thomas Jefferson TIBBETS was one of nine children to John Clifford and Martha (nee SNODGRASS) TIBBETS. Alva Curtis was 2nd child of same. The first eight were born in IA, the last in KS. John Clifford TIBBETS died 27mar1885 in KS. There was one brother (John Franklin) and the other six were female.
James Madison was a brother of John Clifford TIBBETS. There were five children in all to Samuel and Frances (nee POWERS) TIBBETS. Samuel was born 08apr1804 in ME. Samuel married again in the 1840s (presumably Frances died) to Direxia L SMITH and had ten more children!!
