MARRIED.
DICKSON – HALLIDAY. – At the residence of the bride's father,
Springtown, on Friday, the 30th ult, by the Rev. G. Brenmer, C. P. Minister, of
White Lake, James Dickson, Esq., Provincial Land Surveyor, of Fenelon
Falls, Ont., to Maggie, eldest daughter of John Halliday, Esq., J.P.
MOFFATT – DOUGLAS. – At the residence of the bride's father, Port Hope,
on the 19th January, by the Rev. W. Donald, C. P. Minister, Port Hope,
Robert Moffatt, Esq., Merchant, Cambray, to Miss Margaret Douglas,
third daughter of William Douglas, Esq.
NESBITT – WILLAN. – In Lindsay, by the Rev. W. T. Smithett, D. D., on
Wednesday, February 4th, Mr. John Nesbitt, of Ops, to Miss Thomas__a
Willan, of Cartwright.
DEATHS.
MEAGHER. – In the Township of Ops, on Tuesday, the 3rd inst., Edward
Meagher, aged 31 years.
ARGUE. – On the 26th ult., Jane, wife of Mr. Wil___ Argue, of Verulam.
THURSTON. – On the 26th ult., Martha, daughter of Jabes Thurston, Esq.,
of Dunsford.
DAVIS. – On the 28th instant, at her residence, Lot 20, 3rd concession
of Brock, Sarah Davis, aged 72 years.
CRAWFORD. – At Omemee, on Sunday, the 25th ult., after a lingering
illness borne with Christian resignation and fortitude, Georgina, eldest
surviving daughter of the late Thomas Crawford, aged 27 years. Deceased
was beloved by all who knew her; her remains were followed to the Cavan
Cemetery by a large circle of sorrowing friends on Wednesday.
