"FRANK W. THURBER - Born Woosocket, R. I.; learned printing in that city on the Reporter, beginning in 1875; initiated into Providence Union April 30, 1884; worked here in 1880 - '81. Mr. Thurber was the first President of Woonsocket Typographical Union, holding the office for two years."
