Do you by chance have dates on John and Priscilla Thurber, and any history. Every family seems to have a few Johns which makes them hard to trace. My great Grandmother was a widow with two sons when she married my greatgrandfather in 1852. Her former husband was named John Thurber and, like you I have been unable to find any information. I once connected with another researcher who was descended from one of Ann's (my greatgrandmother) sons. She told me a rumor in her family was that John had a locked trunk that nobody was supposed to open. It seems Ann got the trunk unlocked and learned that John had another family in England that he had neglected to mention. This John Thurber aparently disappeared when this happened. The rumor was that the family assumed he had gone back to England. Dennis Bright, my grandfather married Ann in what was then Ohio County, KY. This area is Daviess County KY now. I don't know that any of this has any interest to you. It hasn't helped us any.
Good luck
Joyce Stinnett
