While at the library copying obits for someone, I managed to get a copy of the following obit. I am not related to this person, but thought I would post the obit in case it is helpful to someone.
March 4, 1965
Edward L. Thurber, a veteran of World War I, died this morning. He resided at 9 Beaulieu street, East Chelmsford, and was born in Canada, the son of the late Henry and Virginia Thurber. Mr. Thurber was the husband of the late Julia Dube. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Theresa Maguire of East Chelmsford; two sons, Major Ernest Thurber, Goldsboro, N.C. and Edward A. Thurber of Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Peloquin and Mrs. Noella Bernier of Lowell; also seven grandchildren. He had been a communicant of the Sacred Heart church for 25 years and was a member of the parish Holy Name society and Post 31, American Legion, Penacook, New Hampshire.
