Bible of Chas Thurber on EBAY
DOn't know if this helps anyone or not, I am not researching the Thurbers and am not in any way connected to the selling of this bible, I just would like to see someone who is a part of this family be able to get their family bible back in the family. Here's the write up.

The Bible consists of the Old and New Testaments and the Apocrypha. The Family Record is partially filled out with data about Charles Thurber and his family. Also laid-in is a handwritten genealogy, ostensibly written by Charles Thurber. It is the genealogy of Charles Thurber and his wife Britaina Holbrook, daughter of Benjamin and Ester Holbrook, born 1804.
Charles Thurber was born in 1804. This one page paper also lists the children of Charles and Britaina, both of whom died as young children. It appears that his wife died within a month of child birth of the second child. The final entry on the paper is recording the death of this child several months later and concludes, "Saturday evening August 23, 1834, between 8 & 9 oclock.".
The Family Record section notes that Charles Thurber remarried in 1835 and with his second wife Abby had additional children. Charles Thurber died in 1838. There is an additional entry the deaths of Philip Brayton and Abby Brayton, who may have been Charles Thurber's second wife. There is no indication of location of the Thurber family.
This is a nice old, leather Bible with some genealogy of the Charles Thurber family.
