ooops I goofed :-)

here is more info that I missed when I posted the 1st msg. (re 'Celebrate Golden Wedding)

Fifty were present at their wedding in Cobourg (Ontario, Canada) in 1878 and of this number only six are living.

When Mr. and Mrs. Throop moved to Peterborough what is now the south end of the city was farming and pasture land. H. Best had a farm near Princess Street is. The Customs house was built the year they moved and where the Bank of Commerce is now T. Cavanagh was operating a hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. Throop attend Park Street Baptist Church. He is a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen and also of the Independent Order of Foresters, and has generally voted Conserative.
