James Throck Morton changed the name from James Throckmorton. James Throckmorton's ancestor John Throckmorton arrived 1631 on the ship Lyon, not Mayflower. James admired Perry but was not related. James is referenced in the Sitherwood and C. Wickliffe Throckmorton gen. books. See http://www.throckmortonfamily.com.
