John Thrash, b. 1796, d. 1858, married Mary Strozier in Wilkes Co, Ga in 1823. John was the son of George Thrash and Martha Stubblefield. Mary was the daughter of Peter Strozier and Priscilla Thrash. John lived in GA, then Dallas Co, Al, and back to GA. Most Thrash researchers are not aware of it but John and Mary's oldest child was Emberson Brockman Thrash. He was robbed and killed at age 23 on an expedition "Out West" to purchase land. I have no info on any of the other children. The 1860 Mitchell Co, GA census shows several of the children in their 20's and 30's and still living at home with their mother Mary. If anyone has an info on John and Mary Thrash and their children which you do not mind sharing I would appreciate very much.
