Dear Marcia & other Thrall's: I first met Richard Thrale personally in 1972 and obtained the Sandridge book from him at that time and then in 1974 he sent me the Thraliana, while we still lived in England. I have not had contact with him since then. My daughter and I saw a book in the Plymouth, England library that stated our William Thrall, spelled with two l's came from Sandridge and sailed on the Mary & John to Nes England. Unfortunately, not recognizing the significance of this even, I failed to memorialize it. Richard wrote me in 1972
"a possible candidate is William, son of Ralph Thrale, born in 1607. It has always been reckoned that this William was of the NoMans Land line and that he married Margaret Smith at Redborn in 1632. If William did indeed come from Sandridge, I would guess that he was the son of Thomas Thrale of Hammonds 1579 to 1637 and with this particular section, there is a mass of loose ends. It is also quite possible he came from the Thrale's End family just north of Harpenden and only a few miles away." I have the first Thrale book in 1972 and Richard sent me the Thraliana in 1974 while we still lived in England. As the result of some 4 moves from then, I have misplaced the Thraliana, but still expect to find it someday. My line is William, Timothy, John 1 and 2, Samuel, Eliphas, Worthy, Leonidas Worthy, Harold Leonidas, then me, Harold James. This is one of several Thrall families in Illinois since Worthy arrived from Ohio.
The Walter G. Thrall genealogy of 1862 can be found in the Windsor Historical Society Library, as I recently donated them a copy.
Jim Thrall
New England. Unfortunately I failed to memorialize this event and have tried since to have this reference located by a English genealogy researcher, with no success.

event in detail. This led me to Richard.
Richard wrote "the only possible candidate is William, son of Ralph Thrale, born 1607. We did live in Weston, Ct. in 1977 to 1983 and after four moves from England, ended up retiring to
Indiana. Have misplaced the Thraliana book, due to this moves, but I expect to locate it sometime.
