I thought that lead was promising, too, but unfortunately, the Joseph whose father I'm looking for was born in 1853, so Timothy L. couldn't have been his father, and his sons don't look like they could've been either. My grandmother's records say that Cotton Mather Thrall was her great-great-grandfather, but I can't seem to make things fit. None of Cotton's sons work, so I'm really hoping to find this Timothy S.! Thanks for your help.
