Just checking on some Thorpe info and noticed Margaret Nelson's posts on here. I am not sure if Margaret is still with us - Margaret, if you are email me.
She did a lot of reasearch on Vick family genealogy.
She may have even noted this possiblity: Mary Thorpe married John Reese and her sister Olive Thorpe married Edward Reese (around 1770?). John Reese's son, Rivers, married Piety Vick. After he died, Edward Reese's son, Joseph, married Piety. Piety and her son William, by Joseph, were murdered in the 1831 Nat Turner Slave Revolt.
(Piety's dau Nancy, from Rivers, married my 2g gf Arthur D. Vick, Nancy's 2nd cousin once)
My 3g uncle John Leonidas Vick's family history talks about Rivers and Piety.
