I am looking for information on my great-grandfather, Jim Thorp b. abt 1878 and/or my great-grandmother, Emma Thorp. They had several children including Nora, Edith, Jim (my grandfather), Lillian and Hannah.

My grandfather's given name is Jim with no middle initial. He was born 5/24/1915 in England.

The family name added an "E" to the name Thorp when they came to the US. His sisters and he emmigrated with his parents from England to Canada and then from Canada to NY. I located a Manifest showing Emma and her children arriving in the Port of Montreal Canada with a final destination of Brooklyn NY. My great grandfather was not listed on the manifest as having travelled with them. It also shows Emma and her children of Canadian nationality. I cannot make out the city but it looks like Loug___?

I would like to know who my great grandfather was and trace the lineage back from there. If anyone has any connections, it would be most aprrecited if you would contact me @ thenewsomes1978@yahoo.com. Thank you.
