Hello Sean, It will really depend on which of the Thorp branches you belong to.And IF that one actually has a crest and arms. And, from a heraldic point of view, only if you are the titled holder of the arms should you "wear" it in display. Most of the ancient arms are extinct and you must reapply for approval to "use" the shield, arms, crest and motto. Not too much of a big deal. It just has to be proven that someone in your lineage did at one time have rights to "bear the arms" and had been granted royal permission to do so. Notify Administrator about this message?
