In the booklet "The Thornton Family - Dozier Thornton Line" by Jonathan Mills Thornton, it is stated that Greene H. Thornton, [supposed son of Rev. Dozier Thornton], born 1796 in KY, in Harris Co., GA in 1830,in Muscogee Co., GA 1850 with large family, wife Rhoda S, sons Euphemia, Blackstone R., Greene G., Nathaniel and daughter Rhoda. Also a son Leander A. Thornton who married prior to 1850, lived Salem, Russell Co., AL in 1860, had sons Yancey, Elijah, J. Nathaniel, St. Clair; daughters Ella, Rosalee, Dales, Lula May and Catherine. Just passing this along since it contained the name Yancey Thornton.
