I am researching the name of Thronebury, of course you know there are various spellings. My great great grandfather was Lewis James Thronebury b. Jan 29, 1835 in Bedford Co., Tenn, m.Feb 22, 1852 in Ripley Co. Mo., to (1) Rebecca
Holt (2) April 9, 1885 in Randolph Co., Ark. Amanda Noblin, d. Jan 28, 1896 in Randolph Co. Ark. His parents were Powel Thronebury b. abt 1806-1807 in N. C. and Sarah ? b. abt 1808-1809 in Tenn.
I know that children from Lewis' second marriage spelled their last names differently.
Does any of this ring a bell?
