Familysearch shows that a Martha Thorne, daughter of Theophlis and Jennie Pope Thorne married Sylvester Collins in South Carolina on 21 Dec 1837. The 1840 US Census for Spartenburg District, SC, shows a Silvester Collins, age from 30 to 40, with two males under 5 and a female from 20 to 30.
I cannot find the family in any census after 1840. Would anyone have any information on this family?
