Bob,

The book I referred to is based in part on the papers of Morgan Stafford.

A Thorndike Family History is the most recent tome available on the Thorndikes covering the early records of the Thorndikes in Lincolnshire and then, following the emmigration of one member of the family, specifically the US descendants.
