Lorain & Martha Thorn of Giles Co., VA .. 1860

I just made a connection to Lorain & Martha Thorn who had a daughter by the name of Eliza J. Thorn. Eliza was born circa Dec.1859 and appears to be married to James Corder. They lived in Pulaski County, VA and McDowell County, West Virginia and their son Samuel L. Corder and his wife Lexie were also in McDowell County, West Virginia.

I'm interested in knowing more about the THORN-CORDER family connection. Has anyone researched this family before?

I am unable to locate Eliza Thorn in 1870 and 1880 during the Federal Census readings.
