Thanks for your note. My Predicament is, that my William Thorn, simply "Shows Up" In Stafford Co., VA(Which later becomes Prince William Co.)in about 1717ish or before. There he meets Courts & Marries the widow, Mary O'Rear & has daughter Susannah Thorn. Susannah marries John Reno.
Actually, I descend from William Thorn's second marriage to Sarah, maiden name probably Muse, & their son John Thorn.
This William Thorn, in PWC VA, has been connected to EVERY Thorn/e family in America of the time. Your NJ Thorn's have a William that would be about the correct age, but not much seems to be known about him. Many researchers want to connect my man in PWC with the NY clans Wm Thorn & Sarah Denton. Who had sons William & John, plus a daughter Mary Susannah. Actually, I do not believe that my folks in VA are connected to the New England Clan. But I do feel that is necessary to comunicate with you folks, Just in Case, someone knows something that I have overlooked.
I submitted my DNA in hopes of compairing it to other members of the Thorn Familys. Seems as though I was the first to test. There are now eight or so Thorn's that have DNA tested. I think your NJ & NY Clans are included. They do not match My Crew in VA.
What Exactly am I looking for? I am looking for researchers that have connected My VA William Thorn to other Thorn Families. I would like to compare notes & see if we really do connect.
