William Thorn/e in India early 1800's

I have reached a brickwall with my ancestor William Thorn, born about 1786, place unknown.

All that I know is that some of his children were born in India,and recorded as a cordwainer on two childrens marriage certs. They probably moved to England 1n the 1820's where my ancestor Ephraim Thorn was born.

Any thoughts welcomed, Kath.
