My husband has been looking for his great grandfather, Robert Thorburn for a long time. There is a birth record in Cleveland, Ohio for a baby boy born 02 May 1893, father Robert Thorburn born Scotland age 29, mother Annie McFarland born England age 28. Record of birth also states mother's name as Annie Thorburn at date of birth of child born 02 May 1893. The child became known as William Robert McFarlane. William Robert McFarlane stated that his father's name was Robert Thorburn on his Social Security application.
Do you have any information to help us solve this mystery? William Robert McFarlane was born at home, 505 Sawyer, Cleveland, Ohio. Attending physician was Helen, Ellen or Elizabeth Miller, M.D. of 1603 Harvard St., Cleveland, Ohio.
