Lisa,
I am not asking for an apology from anyone.I do, however, think it reprehensible that you would attempt to discredit Patricia by referencing the fact that she is adopted.
Ms. Appel is another story. There have been no "down right falsehoods" made about her.Her claims have been investigated by several people, including one Scottish Highland Games where she set up shop. One games official was kind enough to forward the results of their investigation of Ms. Appel to Dunardry, who was already well aware of her claims and the motive behind it all.
Regarding the individual who contacted our local Better Business Bureau, if I had nothing but Mr. Barclay's opening statement I would have the proof that I need.Mr. Barclay was kind enough to tell me that the individual who made the complaint was living in Virginia and that he was originally from Scotland. However, there are other methods of obtaining this information as referenced in the following Better Business Bureau publication:
"No Release of Information to Third Parties
Personal information will not be released to third parties except to further the purpose for which you provide the information, such as sending your complaint to the company for action, or if release is required by law or is pertinent to judicial or governmental investigations or proceedings. There are no
other circumstances under which we will provide or sell personal information to third parties."
"Unfortunately, I came here to note about my Thomson grandfather. Instead, I found Ms. Adams here and noted her motives. I will have to place my Thomson information at a later date now." Lisa, you can still note about your Thompson grandfather here, I would encourage you to do so.After all, that is what this forum is for.I cannot tell you how many people Patricia has helped with their genealogy (I have had the pleasure of helping 4 of our clan members discover more of their own genealogy myself) and I am sure she would be happy to try and help if you were more amicable.
In closing I would disagree with the following statment, "as you have both revealed your true characters and this speaks more than any research I could place on this forum".Quite the contrary, Lisa.I think it is you who have made our case for us with your unfounded claims and the constant lack of supporting evidence.
Yes, Lisa, we are so deviant as to ask for membership fees in Clan MacTamhais - just like your Clan, Clan Campbell.
