Thank you for the contact...you are the ONLY response I have received to my RFI. I do not have any answers to the questions I previously posed. I believe I have seen what has been written about Alexander Thomson in Texas history.
The William & Elizabeth Robinson Family Assn. believes there is a connection between our Robinsons and the Alexander Thomson Family of early Texas, specifically those around what was then known as "Yellow Prairie" in now Burleson County.
Elizabeth Robinson, wife of our William Robinson, died and was buried in the Thomson Cemetery there in 1869.
Alexander Thomson is said to have been related to the Sterling Clack Robertson family. Although the names Robertson and Robinson are often inter-changed, we do not believe that is the case with our William Robinson.
Also, do you have any knowledge of a Robert or Robertson Davidson who is also recorded as being in this same area at this time? It appears Davidson Creek was named for him and his family? Davidson was in the Little River area in the Spring of 1836 when he was killed.
Thank you for any and all help.
