Rose, widow of Ithia S. Thomson, whom she married in 1873, was born in Clayton, Jefferson Co., NY, in 1833, and at the age of twelve removed to Erie Co., NY, and from there to Bennington, Wyoming Co.,NY. She is a farmer and bee keeper. Her deceased husband was born in Oneida Co., NY in 1809. He was the first postmaster at Dale, NY, and held many important offices in Middlebury, NY, where he occupied a prominent position.
